Last week our movement received two generous offers that significantly contributed to helping us achieve our first quarter goals.
On Thursday I enjoyed a very productive lunch with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Good Think Inc. Much to my surprise and delight, the COO is actually “Amy the unicorn”, and I discovered she really is married to “Bobo”! At the end of the meeting, Amy informed me they were donating 50 books in support of our first quarter goals. After I arrived home, I later discovered seven of the books were autographed by the author himself! I could not have been happier.
The night prior, our copy editor let me know he was sufficiently moved by our work that he offered volunteer his time and talents to review all future content for our website pro bono. I was very touched by his offer and am planning to rehire him for other unrelated work I have in my queue. Let me know if you need a terrific copy editor, and I’ll pass his information along. He is top-notch!
In summary we are well on our way to achieve our first quarter goals in our first 25 days of existence given last week’s contributions. So here is where we stand with regard to our goals:
- 26% COMPLETE: Gift one book in every state within the U.S. by March 31, 2013
- COMPLETED: Hire a writer to review the site content by January 18, 2013
- NEXT IN QUEUE: Conduct a website survey by February 8, 2013
- Hire a firm by February 28, 2013, to extend current marketing plan through the end of 2013
